BONE BONE BONE BONE. CLEVELAND IS THE CITY AND I’LL MEET YOU AT THA CROSSROADS.
I didn’t just fall in love with Bone Thugs N Harmony, I fell into city pride with them. For those of you who don’t know, Bone Thugs N Harmony is from Cleveland, just down the block from where I was born. For those of you who know about them, you may have heard they are releasing music again AND working on a new album. There’s a catch though, Bone Thugs N Harmony are now just Bone Thugs, a duo between Bizzy and Krazy Bone. But hey they’re back and I’m happy.
The release of their album, New Waves hits the internet June 16, but while we wait for another month, the Cleveland Rap Gods have graced us with two singles, ‘Rolling Stone‘ and ‘Coming Home (ft. Stephen Marley)‘.
Unlike some rap artists/groups that started out reppin’ their city and eventually separated themselves after their popularity grew, Bone Thugs has always stayed true to the streets of Cleveland, Ohio – which is one of the reasons I respect the group so much. Cleveland is easy to walk away from but if you’re a native, the city will never actually leave you.
